Personalised help

My aim is to help your family thrive in home education and to  move confidently toward the goals that matter most to you.

For some learners, that might mean securing passes in GCSE Maths and English and progressing to a local college. For others, it could be achieving a string of top grades at IGCSE or GCSE and continuing on to study four A‑Levels. And for many, it’s something in between.

Success for different children means different things, and in each case, I will work to support your family’s aspirations.

Home education -where do  I start?

No matter what stage your children are at, I will help you establish your home education goals and work out how you can meet those. This might include working out how to home educate multiple children, what your time frames for IGCSEs or A-levels should be and matching you to the best online providers or tutors.

Timetabling and organising your home education schedule.

I share techniques to help students stay on track and advice for parents on how to best support IGCSE or A-level students while still fostering independent learning skills. Best at the beginning of a course but equally useful if students run into difficulties later on.

Primary or high school planning

Long term planning can help prevent problems later on. I can help you brinastorm where your homeschool or home education journey is going and how you can get there.

I can help you work out how to guide multiple children through the primary or secndary years and decide on key points such as when to sit IGCSEs or A-levels.

Selecting exam subjects

How many IGCSEs? Which ones? What A-levels are available? Should I do GCSEs or IGCSEs and which exam board will suit us best for Maths or English? Can my child do Music and Art GCSEs or Science A-levels?

I can help you work out the answers to these questions and draw up a plan for these important exam years.

Regular or irregular progress calls

Progress calls can help students who are struggling with staying on track, slipping behind schedule, low motivation or making poor progress.

Calls focus on practical techniques to help students get the best out of their IGCSE/AL courses and provide individualised help on issues affecting their studies

Revision & Exam Prep

To avoid last minute stress, I can help students understand how best to prepare for exams.

Ideally done as two video calls: one near the beginning of their IGCSE/AL studies and the second one 10 to 12 weeks before the start of their exams.

Also useful at the beginning of their revision period.

Exam entry assistance

I provide assistance with selecting an exam centre and the admin side of IGCSE/AL exam entries to ensure that your exam entries are correct.

UCAS application

Confused about the UK university application process?

I help home educated families to complete and submit a UCAS application.

I also provide individual guidance for students preparing personal statements (school or home educated students).
